The Federal Electioin is in full swing make sure you vote and counted on Saturday the 7th of September 2013.

The Federal seat of Melbourne is very important seat
for the Melbourne Residents.

The Federal seat of Melbourne is very important seat not only to us who live in it but the parties who are competing to run the country.
There are 16 candidates for the seat this time. But three are the three candidates who have the most chance of having a chance of winning or can decide who will win.
These are the Green's Adam Bandt, Labour's Cath Bowtell and the Liberal candidate Sean Armsistead.
Other candidates will probably play a strong role by deciding who they preference.

You can vote early at pre polling centres run by the AEC to have a say in this Election.
In whatever way you vote make sure you vote to count, and have a say.
Residents in Melbourne (and there are allot of Public housing) don't get enough attention from their City Council representatives because of the voting system in place for the City of Melbourne. And our  State representatives are  not much better
But we are lucky we are getting better attention from the federal House of Representatives.
CHERS welcomes and would like to encourage other politics to do similar and will try to push for that in the future.

Outsiders eye on The Carlton Estate.

In the commission:
By Doug Hendrie – freelance writer

When I first started riding between two of the housing commission flats in Lygon St, Carlton, back in 2010, I wondered where the residents were. The four immense towers – some of the largest ever built by Victoria’s Housing Commission – are home to more ...... So where were they?
....., I had my answer. As a long-awaited renovation of the flats gathered speed, men in orange vests turned bare earth into grass and shiny.........
